Vanessa Trump was just forced to delete an appallingly tone-deaf tweet about “kids camps”

All the nation has been able to talk about for the past week is President Donald Trump’s horrifying policy of tearing kids away from their families only to be thrown into understaffed and unprepared concentration camps as punishment for daring to flee the instability and violence of their homelands and find a new life in the United States.

Most of the nation, that is. The extended Trump family, in their usual aloof and self-absorbed way, has remained silent on the cruelty that their bloated patriarch is inflicting on innocent children – but has had no problem with sharing gloating social media posts that are so tone-deaf it’s almost impossible to believe it’s not intentional.

Ivanka Trump recently received a brutal social media dragging for posting a picture of her with her extremely white baby while one immigrant mother had her child torn from their very breast.

Not to be outdone, Don Jr.’s soon-to-be ex-wife Vanessa Trump took to Twitter this morning and shared a photo of her kids with a tent and a cutesy message about her kids’ upcoming stay at what is certainly a preposterously expensive summer camp.

To share this kind of a message while sharing a last name with the man who is putting immigrant children in a very different kind of camp – the concentration kind – is absolutely infuriating, and social media immediately let her know how the nation felt about it.

Vanessa Trump quickly deleted her tweet after its furious reception, but the internet saved the receipts.

Her callous post is just another reminder that the upper classes are entirely removed from the suffering of the poor, especially if they are people of color. At this point, they’re just openly mocking the most vulnerable and exploited people in our country.
