Stormy Daniels was just arrested in a bizarre and suspicious set-up

In a bizarre turn of events, President Donald Trump’s ex-mistress Stephanie Clifford – better known by her stage name, Stormy Daniels – was taken into police custody last night.

The award-winning adult film star and director was dancing at the Sirens’ Gentlemen’s Club in Colombus, Ohio, the latest stop on her “Make America Horny Again” tour, when she allowed a customer to come onstage and touch her in an unspecified manner.

That was apparently enough to trigger the morality police, who busted in and arrested the famous sex worker because in Ohio, “an employee who regularly appears nude or seminude at a sexually oriented business is not allowed to touch someone not related to them while nude or seminude.”

Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, was understandably furious at what is looking more and more like a politically motivated set-up by a disgruntled Trump fan and took to Twitter in a rage:

Daniels is now a household name in America thanks to the wall-to-wall media coverage of her lawsuit against the president, aiming to free herself from a non-disclosure agreement that Trump never signed in the first place so she can tell her story of their affair to the nation.

The bloodhound determination of Michael Avenatti and Daniels to resist the threats and legal maneuvering of Trump and his lawyers have caused the case to spill over into the Russia probe, as the investigation into the $130,000 hush money payment from Trump to Daniels revealed a whole slew of other secret payments through the same shell company, including some from Russian billionaires.

This entire incident reeks of some kind of set-up. What kind of strip-club patron calls the cops on a performer?

Daniels has been released on $6,000 bail and has cancelled her next appearance – but this is definitely not the last we’re going to see of her.
