Racists getting what they deserve after having previously been emboldened by Trump’s rhetoric to be openly racist is so peak 2018 we must be halfway through the calendar year.
Today’s victim of “white people discovering racism is still bad”-itis is Stephenie Sebby-Strempel, who you might know as “Pool Patrol Paula” from last week’s news cycle.
Triple-P was at a community pool in South Carolina last week when she verbally and physically accosted a 15-year-old boy for the crime of trying to swim with too much melanin.
First, Pool Patrol Paula earned herself one count of third-degree assault and two counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer (she bit one when they showed up at her home after the incident).
As of this past Sunday, Ms. Sebby-Strempel is also out of a job with big-time skincare brand Rogan + Fields, according to a statement obtained by NBC News. The company said Sebby-Strempel, who was an independent contractor for the skincare brand, was no longer affiliated with the company after it determined she violated company policy following its review of “law enforcement statements.”
Rodan + Fields had hinted at this outcome in a previous statement, saying, “We do not condone violence of any kind and pride ourselves on embracing inclusion and acceptance of all.”
The incident began two Sundays ago, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, when Sebby-Strempel told a group of children who had been invited to the neighborhood community pool by a friend who lived nearby that “they did not belong at the pool, and they had to leave.”
Witness reports say that the group was respectful and responded with “yes, ma’am” when asked to leave, but that “Sebby-Strempel continued antagonizing the kids as they left, calling them “punks,” and using racial slurs against them.”
Apparently, that was not enough for the newly alpha woman who then proceeded to start hitting one in the group, with her attack on a 15-year-old boy captured on video as evidence. According to the sheriff’s office, the full video shows Sebby-Strempel hitting her victim at least three times as he exited the pool area.
Investigators determined that Sebby-Strempel was the aggressor in this unprovoked assault and that the victim “didn’t respond or retaliate to being hit,” despite the woman’s efforts to trigger a reaction.
The victim was checked out by emergency medical personnel and determined to require no immediate care, but when deputies showed up on Monday at Sebby-Strempel’s home to charge and arrest her for the assault, her violent tendencies erupted again.
“According to the sheriff’s office, Sebby-Strempel pushed one detective into a wall, injuring his knee, and then bit a second detective on the arm, breaking the skin.”
For posterity, take a look at the video embedded below to forever shame Sebby-Strempel and help to spread the word that in spite of the policies of the current administration, racism is never an acceptable American value:
